Madeline Sorel creates paintings using wool, fabrics and other bits of material instead of the traditional paints. She does this in a unique technique that she discovered when experimenting with nuno felting. These materials give Madeline a palette that is as rich in color options as any medium. Because the works are soft, textured, wool they absorb sound and are suitable for venues, such as restaurants, where deadening sound is desirable.
The size of the art works range from smaller than a square foot to as big as 6′ x6′.
